This weekend we spent the ENTIRE two days outside! My heart craves the sunshine and when I combine that with my friends and family in my home…the whole world is perfect and rosy. So far we have wrapped up easter and mother’s day in the pool, backyard, and on the patio. I am already planning get togethers and BBQs in my head to carry us through summertime. I am pinning ideas to a new “Backyard Entertaining Board” on Pinterst (Click for link), going through my tablecloths looking for everything with blue in it, and finding the perfect backyard drink recipes. But we all know a good party starts with an invite… so I made one for you to download as a freebie today. For an extra personal touch, these are editable, so you can type your info right into the invite for a custom look! (Instructions are below)
I used watercolor to paint the grill and the “summer, summer, summertime” because water = summer… right? That’s how my mind works anyway!

This month, my creative and fantastic monthly blog hop friends put together a group of Red, White, and Blue Free printables for you to download and use, and this invite is my contribution! YAY! When you download this design, there are instructions to make sure the “editable” properties work for you! Here they are –
* The PDF Invite must be opened in Adobe Reader / Acrobat for you to add text into the text boxes {*** Please NOTE – Macs may open files in a different default program than these files are designed to be used in, please make sure they open in Adobe Reader, which is a free download from www.adobe.com *** }
* The files do allow you to make some changes in size, color, or font as long as the alterations fit within the text boxes. To make these changes, type your text and then press CTRL+E (or Command + E for a Mac) for the text edit box to show up. You can then select your options and save the file to your computer.
* If you see a small black box with a plus sign appear in the bottom right of your text area, it simply means that there are lines that are extending outside of the text box area. Many times there isn’t type on the lines, just blank spaces so you can use the down arrow to scroll as far as you can, then backspace until the black box goes away. This may also mean you need to choose a smaller font size.
